Jennifer Lawrence’s Quotes of Awesome
Jennifer Lawrence is our Katniss Everdeen. She’s given us a great portrayal of our favorite heroine and because of that, most of us would love her unconditionally no matter what she was like in real life.
Lucky for us, Jennifer has one of the best personalities in Hollywood. She’s sweet and lighthearted and… oh yeah, HILARIOUS.
She has provided us with some real gems while at the Toronto International Film Festival (where she apparently met Kristen Stewart, which is somehow important to everyone who won’t shut up about it) promoting The Silver Linings Playbook. Therefore, this is a dedication post to her hilarity!

“I’m sexy! I’m cute! I’m popular to boot!” – NOT said by Jennifer Lawrence.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Quotes of Awesome
On getting roles: “I started sleeping with all the directors. I slept with 98 percent of them.”
On playing a dancer: “That’s a sad thing to watch. I’m an awful dancer. I was stress-eating.”
Mid-interview: “Oh my god, this dress has pockets! …Sorry.”
On her style: “I hire professionals. Then I sit there and talk and all of the sudden, I look like this!”
On the Mockingjay split: “We have enough time, we have enough room to really tell this story to the fullest, and we don’t need to cut anything. So that’s my artistic answer. It’s a very diplomatic answer. But what I’m really thinking is yacht, yacht. My own island.“
Bradley Cooper: “I’m bummed that Wes Bently got killed. He was awesome.”
Josh Horowitz: “He might still be alive. We don’t see it…”
Bradley Cooper: “No, he ate those berries. The door was locked!”
Jennifer: “It’s kind of like a Tupac situation.”
And this is just the past week!
Jennifer Lawrence, thank you for bringing the funny! A woman of your success and popularity tends to be too afraid of the media to have a real personality. We applaud you on so many levels and want to assure you that, as individuals who mildly stalk you, we think you possess ALL THE WIN.
Mild Stalking. Totally acceptable. Right?

I just love her.
Been seeing all her interviews, the press conference, the red carpet…
And the reviews for her movie seem to be super awesome. Most people say the interpretation was career best (better than Winter’s Bone, which gave her an oscar nomination). Some people say she’s a LOCK for best actress on the festival, and some people even go as far as saying an oscar nomination will come to her soon.
If she gets an oscar nomination, she will be the youngest actress to have 2.
Not a single review says she did a bad performance.
I am so, SO excited for the movie and seeing her amazing acting skills.
Actually the festival doesn’t have a “Best Actress” award, all the reviews referred to her possible Oscar nomination (AND win).
Also, about the thing that she’d be the youngest with 2 nominations: it still depends if it’s gonna be defined as a Leading or a Supporting role – e.g. Kate Winslet was a tiny bit younger when she got her second nom for Titanic, but her first one was for a Supporting role in Sense and Sensibility (there could be others even younger of course who got two noms for supporting roles). So if – theoretically of course – Jen’s got nominated, and it’s as a Leading Actress, THEN she would be the youngest with two nominations, but only in that category.
Ugh, sorry, that reply looks a bit didactic. Wasn’t my intention.
But you’re right. Everybody is raving about her, and says that she “stole the movie”, which also got pretty awesome reviews itself. I just so can’t wait to see it.
Oh, ok, thanks, it’s great to be better informed
Am I the only one who secretly wishes she would do a movie with Tina Fey? It doesn’t matter what it’s about, but they’re my favorites and I think it would be pretty hilarious whatever it was.
I just love her..
My favorite line in this interview is the part “omg this dress has pockets”. I can totally see her saying that! I just appreciate her not taking herself too seriously and hope that an Oscar comes her way, many times. She strikes me as someone who is not going to let some fame get to her head.
