Yes, They’re As Great As They Seem

While reviews of The Hunger Games movie won’t come until later, we can review something from the premiere weekend: the fact that, yes, your Hunger Games fansite runners are as awesome as they seem.

Photoshop abuses strikes again

If you’ve noticed a little more camaraderie among the fansite runners lately, it’s because many of us have gotten the chance to hang out in the real world (or should we say Capitol Shore). Whether it was at a party that was livestreamed from HG Fireside Chat and cohosted with them and Down with the Capitol, or an outing to visit The Hob campground, or seeing the movie together at the world premiere, it was satisfying to meet and get to know these people we’ve talked to via Twitter. Even two of your Victor’s Village staff writers met for the first time just this weekend!

It was definitely an honor to meet everyone who has been working so hard to keep us all informed and entertained while we celebrate how much we love The Hunger Games. And for those of us who have seen the movie, it was definitely a great to share that with our Hunger Games fan-peers.

Count the fansites with Jackie!

And one of the worst things ever was having to say goodbye to everyone. It was a real phenomenon to have so many of us in one place that it hit us all how long it would be until this could happen again. It felt like the season finale of The Real World (yes another reference I don’t care how much it dates me).

Wow, we don’t get very sentimental on here that often. But as Hunger Games fans, you all should be proud to have such great people running your fansites.

Quick think of something snarky to say!
